Employment Opportunity – Funeral Consultant

For more than 60 years and three generations, the people of Kings have been here for Geelong. Today we serve the people of Geelong, Newcomb, Grovedale, Torquay and surrounding areas. Plus we’ve extended our service to ‘Bellarine Memories’ in Ocean Grove.

An opportunity exists for a dynamic community minded professional to commence immediately. The position is based in Kings Newcomb office but travel across all of Kings service areas is expected.

Reporting to the Operations & HR Manager, the Funeral Consultant role demands a strong individual who ensures arrangements are completed in a timely and effective manner and then ensures the smooth running of the funeral, including leading the service, directing funeral assistants, supporting the family/guests and attending to any problems that may arise

The successful candidate must have a background that demonstrates strong, practical service industry or events management experience. Previous Funeral industry experience is clearly an advantage but definitely not essential. As a minimum the successful candidate will have at least 8 years’ experience in either the service/sales industry or events management; successfully completed year 12 or equivalent together with a current drivers licence.

The successful candidate must be able to work flexible hours, including a weekend roster.You must be a real team player who possesses excellent communication skills and possess a real desire to make a difference.

An appropriate remuneration package will be offered to attract the right person.
